Impact & Ice Cream
Time: Monday 26 May, at 15.00-16.00
Place: INVEST Coffee Room, Publicum 4th floor (University of Turku)
Impact & Ice Cream is back! At the May meeting of the INVEST Impact Network, Susan Kuivalainen, a long-time knowledge broker, will share her experiences and practical examples of researcher impact work. Susan works as Head of Research at the Finnish Centre for Pensions and as Director of the Strategic Research Council’s Demography Programme. In her presentation, she will explain how research can have a real impact on society and what researchers can do to strengthen their interaction with society.
In addition, our Project Manager Anu Lyytinen will briefly share the achievements and lessons learned from INVEST’s impact work based on the reporting to the Research Council of Finland. She will also discuss the challenges of measuring impact and introduce INVEST’s new impact programme. Afterwards we’ll continue with open discussion and, to make it more fun, ice cream!
INVEST Impact Network brings together INVEST researchers interested in learning more about the societal impact of research. At the meetings, we’ll discuss, share experiences and learn from each other. The meetings are open to all INVEST staff. Join us for an afternoon of conversation, insight and good company!
