INVEST Visiting Professors

Visiting Professor is a professor from another university who has been invited to collaborate and conduct research at the INVEST Research Flagship Centre. The title of Visiting Professor can be awarded to a leading established scholar for a two-year fixed-term.

INVEST Visiting Professors join the INVEST welfare research ecosystem – an exceptional environment for solving the critically important problems related to the welfare state system and developing evidence-based pioneering interventions.

Innovative collaborations with leading scholars and across academic disciplines, as well as the use of unique data are at the core of our operations. Our welfare research ecosystem enables us to collaborate and interact efficiently with the public administrators, policy makers, civil society actors and practitioners that work with us in our mission.

Collaboration with over 900 Finnish schools and over 100 municipalities provide support and skills for children, families, and adolescents at critical points in the early life course.

The Director of the INVEST Research Flagship Centre makes a proposal for the faculty on awarding the title of Visiting Professor.
