Grants Awarded to Prakash, Smith and Karonen by the Turku University Foundation

The Turku University Foundation has awarded a total of €1.6 million in grants to researchers at the University of Turku. Among the recipients are INVEST Research Flagship Centre researchers, Doctoral Researchers Khanal Prakash and Kashya Smith and Senior Researcher Esa Karonen.

Prakash received a grant of nearly €9,000 for the doctoral research: Parental psychiatric disorders and socio-demographic risk factors for anxiety disorders and depression in childhood and adolescence: A Finnish nationwide register study

Smith recieved a grant of nearly €15 400 for the doctoral research: The role of belonging in the immigrant paradox: a multi-country comparison of educational aspirations and integration policies.

Karonen was awarded nearly €12,000 for his research Intergenerational War? The Sensitive Generation of the 1980s and the Established Winners, which explores tensions and experiences between generations.

In addition to the research grants, the University Foundation awarded a travel grant to Senior Researcher Sanna Herkama.
