Tiina Turunen has expertise in designing and evaluating school-based interventions in a randomized controlled trial setting. Her research interests are related to bullying perpetration and its longitudinal correlates, evaluating implementation and effectiveness of anti-bullying interventions in different countries, as well as learning difficulties and psycho-social well-being of children and adolescents. She specializes in analyzing longitudinal data and utilizing statistical methods such as structural equation modeling, mixture modeling, and multilevel modeling. She has also developed digital platforms and materials for educational and research purposes. When she is not working, she enjoys adventures outdoors, abroad, and in the captivating worlds of books.
